About this model
This is a Logistic Regression model that classifies text into 6 core emotions: Anger, Fear, Joy, Love, Sadness, and Surprise.
A note on interpretation
Emotion is subjective and often difficult to interpret without context, even for humans. Some text may not carry one of the six emotions this model tracks.
Training data
Trained on two combined datasets: GoEmotions, 58k Reddit comments from Google, and the Emotion Dataset of text samples with basic emotion labels.
Limitations
- Language. Trained on English text only.
- Context. Works best on informal text like social media posts, not formal or technical writing.
- Nuance. It reads a single dominant emotion and can miss sarcasm or mixed feelings.
